About

Destiny Mission Report is a website dedicated to tracking stats for exotic missions in Destiny 2. Total clears, fastest clears, and solo clears are examples of some of the stats that can be tracked.

Frequently Asked Questions

How did you decide which missions to include?

I tried to include all the classic, beloved exotic missions. Whilst there are others that I would like to have included, such as 'The Other Side', the mission which originally rewarded Bad Juju, this proved difficult as exotic missions are not neatly classified under a single categorisation, unlike say raids and dungeons. Instead, some of them are classed as story missions, some as strikes, and some as exploration (open world).

How often is the data updated?

Activity data is fetched on demand directly from Bungie's API. However, this data is also cached for 20 minutes. Once the cache expires, the data is fetched again.

How do labels work?

For time based labels, it's simple: complete the mission within the first 24 hours of release to earn a 'Day One' tag, and complete it within the first 7 days of release to earn a 'Week One' tag. For difficulty labels, the difficulty modifier (e.g. 'Legendary') is combined with the size of the fireteam (e.g. 'Solo') and the flawless state. This means it's possible to have one tag for 'Solo Flawless', and a separate tag for 'Legendary Solo'. But, if the mission was completed solo, flawlessly and with the legendary modifier on, then the separate labels would be combined into a single 'Legendary Solo Flawless' label. Note that the portal versions of these missions do not currently support difficulty labels.

Why don't I have a best combined time?

In order to qualify for a best combined time, you must have at least one clear of each mission.

Harbinger is no longer playable. Can I exclude it?

Currently, no. However one of the first features I am working on is to change the default view to exclude inaccessible missions. There will then be a toggle to include them. The best combined time will be updated too, with one value for active missions, and one for all missions.

Will you ever add leaderboards?

That is the plan. However, adding leaderboards also means setting up a database, which means the site becomes more expensive to run. I still plan on adding them, but it requires some more thought. If leaderboards are important to you, let me know.

I have an idea for a new feature. How can I let you know?

Feature requests are welcome, but they will of course be assessed and prioritised. Contact me.

I have found a bug. How can I let you know?

For all bug reports, please contact me and include as much information as possible.

Can you make the site quicker?

I will be constantly trying to do so! However, the truth is that as a result of exotic missions being categorised under different activities (e.g. strikes and stories), there is a lot of data to fetch, and with me not currently storing the results in a database, I am somewhat limited in how much I can optimise it.

How is the MVP tag awarded?

Currently, it's as simple as which player gets the most kills! This will be improved in the future.
